Preheat the grill on medium heat.
Toast a slice of bread on one side only. Peel and crush the garlic clove and mix with the olive oil. Spread the untoasted side with the garlic oil. Grill until lightly browned. Sprinkle with finely chopped fresh herbs (optional)
Good with meat stews as a low-potassium alternative to potatoes. Also goes well with omelettes, scrambled egg and many other savoury dishes.
